Mole problems and their corresponding cures:

One of the popular methods of mole removal is elliptical excision. When mole is being removed from the skin, anesthesia is administered. This is applied in order to numb the area, where the operation will take place and no pain will be felt.

It is different from other mole removal methods such as laser or cryotherapy. Scarring is the major downside of this method. They are inevitable. It is inexpensive, compared to other methods, and there will be less pain.

Given time, the scars will eventually fade. However, there will still be a trace that will remain. That doesn't stop people from choosing this method, though. After performing this operation, they then turn to other methods to deal with the scarring.

Comparing elliptical excision and shave excision would show the former to be the riskier method. It seems to be more dangerous because the skin will be deeply cut. Cutting the skin too much, too deep, opens the possibilities of skin infections. This could lead to further complications. Bleeding could be more profuse. The severity of the wound could be very worrying. This would mean that the recovery period for the wound will generally be longer than in other methods.

A very large area of the skin will have to be operated on. The cut on the skin will be oval in shape. It covers the mole and the skin surrounding it. To a greater extent, the skin will be involved.

If scarring and skin damage can be brought about by this option, why do people still choose it?

In this method, there are lesser chances that the moles will recur. It is the core problem that is concentrated on. No matter how deeply rooted the moles are, they can be removed. Practically all moles can be removed by this technique.

Doctors also recommend cryotherapy. Laser also comes highly recommended. You will be more well informed regarding the methods and their pros and cons, if you do a little research over the internet. Extremely low temperature is needed in the method called cryotherapy. The cells found in all the skin moles will be killed when exposed to the cold. The main component in this process is liquid nitrogen. The cells can be frozen easily. In the case of deeply rooted moles, this might not work. If the moles are shallow, this can be used. This is the disadvantage of this technique. When you insist on applying this method on deeply rooted moles, you might be inviting disaster.

You have two ways of accomplishing this. The first would require the use of liquid nitrogen. You directly apply it on the moles. Or you could use frozen liquid nitrogen. The frozen liquid nitrogen will be injected into the skin layers. You will use a frozen instrument. This will effectively kill the cells on the skin moles.

The time taken for healing will not be very long, as you do not touch the moles in the deep layers of skin. Only moles on top of skin will be removed.
