The Cremations And Funerals In US And Canada

Funerals are ceremonies that are held before the burial or before cremation. Cremations and funerals in US and Canada are logically conducted in the same manner. There are licensed funeral homes, which offer these services, and they make the whole arrangement much simpler. These days it has become much easier and convenient because most of these homes have websites and all transactions can be conducted online.

The difference between a burial and a cremation is that, a burial the body of the deceased is placed in a coffin and later it is buried and covered with soil. Cremation, on the other hand, the body is burnt using a very high temperature using some special oil and a lot of oxygen. The body turns into ashes which are very light and they are kept in a vessel known as urn.

These days, however, there has emerged a new trend, and most people are cremating their deceased rather than burying them. Long time ago cremation was only being done by the Hindus. These days, almost all religions, are okay with this new way of burning bodies.

However, the Muslims have still held tight their culture tightly. It is very rare that you will find a Muslim who has been burnt. For Christians, it is yet to become their culture, but they are slowly adopting it.

The other new style that has come up is the manner in which these ceremonies are held. A few years ago a burial ceremony would have a large population attending, but these days only a few close relative usually attend. The ceremony is also substantially shorter.

Cremations and funerals in US and Canada do have a lot in common. The changes that are taking place are also happening in both countries. It is good that they have licensed a few homes because this helps to ease the tedious arrangements.
