Preventive medicine will save you money

We live in a day and age where everything around us is moving at the speed of revolution even before we have figured out how we are currently living is already out of date.

If you are in your senior years, wonderful news, Medicare wants to pay you to see the doctor; well not actually pay you, but they do want you having regular exams with your physician and since they feel so strongly about it your regular exams will be paid for by Medicare.

Many medical physicians and medical professionals have poked and prodded her stomach area looking for signs of trouble, even several x-rays through out the years, along with many samples of blood work, and her vitals have been taken. Her family history has been searched for any clues, and two different physicians recommended her to sign on with a weight loss program, with the hope that creating a new diet plan would do the trick.

Emma has listened and followed almost all of the suggestions made by many a doctor, family, and friends; she even tried a three day detoxifying treatment, where she was to only drink lemon water with a touch of honey- (which left her light headed and miserable for two weeks following this "try but fail" suggestion.)

Not only are these scams a waste of money but often the promised health remedies are far from proven and can often actually be more harmful than do any good, as they raise a person to false hopes which are dangerous to people who are frightened or in pain, for they will fall for quick and painless cures that could possibly put them behind on a real treatment plan with a real doctor who can diagnose and treat symptoms. Some aches and pains are part of life for which there are might not be a "cure" but good rest, exercise, and medications that help control the symptoms.

"Proven remedies" have been an ever growing scam for taking your hard earned money, if you have a desire to learn more talk with your regular doctor, there are many new technologies out there and your doctor may have a new medication that would make you feel great and by going through your doctor you not only know you are getting a trusted product but Medicare will help pay for it.

Be smart when seeking medical help, and remember you always have a choice. So take your first step towards a long, healthy, independent life by choosing to take care of yourself now.
